On December 19, the Permanent Mission hosted a New Year and Christmas reception for Russian employees of international organizations in Rome: the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the UN World Food Program (WFP) and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).

The Permanent Representative of Russia Victor L. Vasiliev congratulated all those present at the event on the upcoming 2020 and Christmas and summed up the main results of the outgoing year.

The main event of the coming year will be the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, and at the same time the Anniversary of the UN system organizations. We count on the support of compatriots working in international organizations in the celebration of these important dates.

The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere. Guests competed in festive contests, drove a New Year's round dance and tasted dishes of Russian cuisine.
